Lymphatic drainage is a gentle hands on therapy developed to treat the lymphatic system of patients. There are a number of health conditions that affect the lymphatic system, including:
Lymphedema resulting from genetics
Lymphedema resulting from cancer
Fibromyalgia
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Chronic venous insufficiency
My professional practice focuses on MLD for clients with Lymphedema, but sometimes budget or other reasons do not allow clients to come with the frequency necessary.
Therefore I have developed this MLD Basis workshop that will go over some of the fundamental basics of the Anatomy or the Lymphatic system, what MLD is and WHAT it is not and as well some of the basics strokes that can be performed at home. As well I have created some take home materials that will allow you do do some at home maintenance in between professional appointments.

Basic Lymphedema Instruction for Caregivers is the first workshop to provide detailed instructions for caregivers on all aspects of lymphedema home care including physical care (skin care, simple lymph drainage, compression, exercise, etc.), communication skills and emotional support, and activities of daily living. Caregivers will also learn ways to protect themselves from injury and burnout. This book outlines a systematic approach to determining a patient's care needs, arranging care, and coordinating multiple caregivers.
