Pain Management
& Restorative Relaxation Offerings
Pain Management
Pain management through massage focuses on easing muscular tension, reducing patterns of discomfort, and supporting the body’s natural ability to release stress. By using targeted techniques, thoughtful pressure, and a calm, attentive pace, therapeutic massage can help soften areas of overuse, address trigger point activity, and improve functional mobility.
Benefits may include:
Reduced muscular tension and tightness
Relief from trigger point–related discomfort
Increased comfort during daily activities
Improved mobility and range of motion
Support for posture and movement patterns
A calmer, more regulated nervous system
An overall sense of physical ease and well-being
Restorative Relaxation
Sometimes you just want to relax — with no agenda, no specific area of focus, and no expectation other than feeling more grounded when you leave than when you arrived. Life’s stresses build quietly, and the body often holds more than we realize. Restorative relaxation massage offers a calm, unhurried space to let the nervous system settle and the mind drift.
This work emphasizes long, soothing strokes, gentle pacing, and an overall sense of ease. It is not about “fixing” anything. It’s about softening into comfort, reconnecting with yourself, and giving your body a chance to exhale.
Common benefits may include:
Deep relaxation and quieting of the mind
Reduced stress and emotional tension
A sense of warmth, safety, and grounding
Improved sleep and restfulness
Greater body awareness without pressure or intensity
Relief from the cumulative effects of daily stress
An overall return to balance and calm
Restorative relaxation is ideal for anyone seeking peace, comfort, and a moment to simply be.
Additional Practitioners
Patrick Ryan, LMT, CPNMT
Patrick was drawn to massage for the same reasons many thoughtful therapists enter this work: a genuine interest in people, a desire to ease discomfort, and a belief in the value of simple, restorative touch. A 2020 graduate of Spa Tech Institute in Plymouth, Patrick brings a solid five years of skill refinement, specialized treatments, and well-developed restorative relaxation skills, along with accessible scheduling to a practice already known for excellence but typically booked to capacity.
This, combined with his warm presence and gentle manner, helps clients feel at ease almost immediately.
Patrick offers both restorative relaxation massage and focused therapeutic work. He has dived deeply and chosen to focus on PNMT and related therapies, bringing thorough client evaluation, a more clinical approach, and careful pressure to pain management. Though early in his career, his sincerity and calm, steady approach quickly endear clients to his work.
Patrick is available by appointment in the afternoons, early evenings, and on weekends, allowing both existing and new clients of Sacred Healing Bodyworks to enjoy a broader schedule and increased availability.

Restorative - Relaxation
Massage, once viewed as a luxury, is now recognized as a supportive therapy for many painful conditions.
At the same time, not every session needs to be about “fixing” something. Restorative relaxation massage offers a calm, unhurried space where the nervous system can settle, the mind can quiet, and the body can finally exhale. Long, soothing strokes and gentle, steady pressure help release emotional tension, improve restfulness, and bring a sense of grounding that often disappears under the pace of everyday responsibilities.
Overall, massage supports both physical comfort and emotional well-being. Whether you’re seeking relief from discomfort or a moment of deep, restorative calm, this work offers a chance to reconnect with yourself, soften what’s been held too tightly, and leave feeling more balanced, present, and at ease..
